Numbers 9:5-7

^5 (A)And they celebrated the Passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at twilight, in the wilderness of Sinai; ^(B)according to all that Yahweh had commanded Moses, so the sons of Israel did. ⁶ But there were some men who were ^(C)unclean because of a ^[a]dead person, so that they could not celebrate Passover on that day; so ^(D)they came near before Moses and Aaron on that day. ⁷ And those men said to him, “We are unclean because of a ^[b]dead person. But why are we restrained from bringing near the offering of Yahweh at its appointed time among the sons of Israel?”
